My journey to becoming a fitness coach:

I always enjoyed being active growing up- camping, skiing, playing sports, etc.

But I never really liked working out. I didn’t do any kind of formal exercise until undergrad.

Like most people, when I first started going to the gym, I had no idea what I was doing. My routine was created from a combination of advice from friends, google searches, and social media influencers.

My diet was all over the place. It seemed like the harder I tried to eat “healthy,” the more I just ended up hungry… and it led me to a place where I started to feel guilty after eating things like pizza and ice cream.

Long story short, I was putting my time and effort toward the wrong things. I was lost!

Frustrated with myself and with the fitness community, I stepped back from it all for a while...

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2019 and went on to earn my D.P.T (Doctorate of Physical Therapy) from Western Michigan University in 2021.

Then my son was born.

And this changed things for me! I felt a new responsibility to 1.) be the best version of myself for my family and 2.) be an example of what it looks like to live a healthy, meaningful life!

So I blocked out the noise of the fitness industry and put my 7 years of education to work. I focused on the things that science and research tell us have the biggest impact on our health.

And I started to see progress- stronger, more energy, better sleep… after a while, I realized that I was in the best shape of my life!

Now I’m passionate about helping other busy parents who are in the same boat I was- willing to put in the work, but not sure where to apply themselves, and unable to cough up hundreds of dollars pers month!

I can’t wait to help you get started on your journey to becoming the best physical version of yourself. You better believe it’s possible!
